  • Fluorescent-Penetrant Inspection (FPI) is a type of dye penetrant inspection in which a fluorescent dye is applied to the surface of a non-porous material in order to detect defects that may compromise the integrity or quality of the part in question.

    Test Equipment

    EPCOR's 'state of the art' compressor system is designed for B777 growth Air Cycle Machine flow requirements. Various test stands are currently operational to accommodate all testing requirements as described in the applicable manufacturer Component Maintenance Manuals, such as:

    • APU 9A, 9B, 350, 500, APS2300 and the APS 3200,
    • High Flow Valve Test Stand,
    • Air Driven Pump Test Stand,
    • Pneumatic Starter Test Stand,
    • Leading Edge Flap Drive Unit,

    Wiring harness test equipment
    • EPCOR is able to test the wiring harness of the Honeywell 131-9A, 131-9B, 331-350, 331-500 APU’s and the Hamilton Sundstrand APS2300 and APS3200 APU’s.
    • EPCOR has state of the art test equipment with sound and visual indicators to make sure our quality is equal to what we promise to our customers. 

    EPCOR is constantly improving the quality of its systems, products, services and processes. EPCOR has the highest Hazard identification processes in place to guarantee the highest levels of performance and flight safety.  Quality together with safety are the most important conditions for EPCOR to get the job done. Safety of our people. Quality by following the strict regulations in the aviation industry. EPCOR is proud to have been granted an extensive list of Civil Aviation Approvals. 

    EPCOR has developed the "Safety & Quality engine". The engine, an APU, symbolizes the concept of our safety & quality program; it makes it tangible.
